Hotel 1550

I needed to stay here for an overnight transit. Then hotel is clean and service personnel are very courteous and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were just the right combination of firm and comfortable. There were plenty of reasonably priced eateries within a few minutes walk from the hotel. I ate at two; both were reasonably priced and very good quality. Hotel has a free airport shuttle which was one of the reasons I picked the place. Overall, an excellent choice.

Staff was very kind, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Shuttle pick up to SFO was right on time! Easy parking and again and always a for me is kind staff!

Overall, it’s a solid and comfortable option for business travelers with a convenient overnight stay near SFO. I’d definitely stay here again. Note: Excellent customer service with friendly, helpful staff who made the stay smooth and hassle-free. The park & fly option is a great added convenience. You can leave your car at the hotel for a fee and take advantage of the airport shuttle, which is ideal for business travelers.

Convenient, comfortable, quiet, reasonably priced for the area, friendly staff. The Hapa Bistro a block away is a hidden gem for an exceptional dinner experience. Be aware that if you just miss the shuttle at the airport and don't want to wait for another hour, the short drive to the hotel will cost you $40 with Uber! Also, once you reserve at this hotel, you'll receive a barrage of reminders by email and SMS, plus Expedia messages if that's how you booked. Too much! This said, I'd probably stay there again.

The hotel is a little outdated but it was clean, quiet and had all the amenities I needed (microwave, safe, coffee maker, refrigerator). Very comfortable mattres with pillow top and a jacuzzi tub. They offer continental breakfast if you're looking for a quick bite before catching the free shuttle. They have other snacks and drinks available for sale in addition to free coffee and tea 24/7. The room cost was reasonable for all that they offer and its proximity to the airport. I was assisted by Kevin, he is exceedingly respectful and kind. As a woman traveling solo, I felt safe and would not hesitate in staying here again. It is a great choice for cost, what is is offered and the professionalism of the employees. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a comfortable stay!

A bit away from the airport but the free shuttle bus is very useful - note the signs on the side do not correspond to the advice on the Booking.com website so good to communicate with the hotel when at the Hotel shuttle stop. Very pleasant and helpful counter staff. The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was surprisingly good with cheese omelettes and pastries and juices available. Can’t understate the helpful young man when I checked in - advised on food, pickup time very well

I used this hotel for day use (around 6–7 hours) and overall it was a very good experience. The furnishings and amenities are a bit old, so don’t expect something modern or newly renovated. That said, this is more than compensated by how exceptionally clean the room and common areas are — cleanliness really stands out and deserves special mention. The check-in was very fast, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. They arranged everything over the phone, even though I didn’t have a prior booking or anything prepared, which I really appreciated. The Wi-Fi was okay — not perfect, but good enough to get some work done. The location feels very safe, and the hotel also offers a shuttle service, which is a big plus. I checked many hotels for day-use before choosing this one, and I’m glad I did. If you’re looking for a clean, safe place in a good location to rest or work for a few hours, this hotel is a solid choice.

This was our first time trying a hotel "day use" for a 17-hour layover, so we weren’t sure what to expect—but it turned out to be a great decision! The hotel offers a free shuttle that picked us up directly from the airport and brought us straight to the hotel. We arrived around 9:00 AM, and to our surprise, our room was already ready. After a 13-hour flight, my teenage son was starving, and the front desk staff kindly offered him breakfast from their bar—which was such a thoughtful gesture. They also had unlimited coffee and tea in the lobby, which was a nice touch. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were able to get some much-needed rest. We slept soundly until just a couple of hours before it was time to return to the airport. The hotel staff helped us arrange the shuttle back as well, which made everything super easy. We literally just stayed to sleep during our layover, but the experience was absolutely worth it. The service was excellent, and the whole stay was very convenient and stress-free. Next time, I hope we can stay longer and actually enjoy a full vacation in San Francisco!
